Young woman arrested after Grangemouth pub brawl
A 21-year-old woman was arrested following a disturbance outside the Ellwyn Public House on Newlands Road.
A large group were leaving a party at the venue in the early hours of Saturday, January 14, when a fight broke out.
The woman allegedly attacked two men during the incident and is also said to have assaulted one of several attending police officers.
She was held in custody and has appeared at Falkirk Sheriff Court.
The Procurator Fiscal is investigating the incident further.
Community officer, PC David Bellingham, said: “Disorder and violence will not be tolerated in any form by Central Scotland Police and perpetrators will be dealt with robustly.
“We are fully committed to ensuring our communities remain a safe place in which to live, work and visit.”
Meanwhile, another young woman was arrested in a separate incident, also in Grangemouth.
A 25 year old woman was arrested in Poplar Street on Tuesday, January 17, for breaching her anti-social behaviour order (ASBO) and has also since appeared at Falkirk Sheriff Court.
PC Stephen Cooper said: “These orders are issued by the courts and have conditions attached to them which prevents the person causing, or allowing, any noise or any other anti-social behaviour within their property.
“Any breach of these orders is treated seriously by the police and the courts.”
