Tendering opens for Grangemouths' £22m development

The tender process has begun for the £22m development of our town.

Falkirk Council is looking for a contractor to carry out the works to the town centre.

The process means that a selection of companies will put their hat in the ring and offer to do the work.

Requests to participate are due in by 2 September.

Proposals for our town include a new library, refurbishment of shops and a new multi level car parking facility.

I think it is a waste of money that could be spent on other vital things look at the state of the roads.

No point doing up the shops in most of them are lying vacant there is more charity shops down the town now than any other shop and now there have competion with a new shop that has opened that pays for your old clothes.

The council really needs to rethink its policies and get the priorties in order no point building a multi storey carpark if your car is getting damaged with the state the roads are in getting to it.

Council tax wasted as per normal!

Grangemouth town centre needs to be refurbished to survive. We are needing some new shops like Clarks shoes or M&S food etc.We need something to pool the people into the town.We have some lovely dedicated shop owners in the town and we should be supporting them.  Other towns in the area have lovely shopping centres and so should Grangemouth.
