Police urge Grangemouth residents to lock doors after reports of opportunists
Police are urging Grangemouth residents to make sure their property is secure after reports of people trying door handles on houses and cars.
The incidents, over the past couple of weeks, have occurred in the Grangemouth area, particularly after dark.
Community officer, PC Cooper, urged locals to contact police immediately if they see anything suspicious.
He said: “Please ensure that your doors and windows are locked during the night and when you are out and keep your bags, wallets and valuables out of sight.
“By taking these simple steps you can stop most of these opportunistic crimes from taking place.”
