Police seize cannabis farm in Grangemouth
A cannabis farm has been seized by police from a property in Grangemouth.
Police entered the address on Kersiebank Avenue and recovered a cultivation, which had a number of plants growing well. A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
Community officer, PC Sarah Whelan, said: “We have zero tolerance on drugs within Grangemouth. Drug using and dealing is largely connected to other crimes of dishonesty within this area.
“Any information received by ourselves is confidential and can be passed anonymously. If you pass information to the police it does not mean you will be a witness.”
As well as rooting out cannabis growers, community police have been cracking down on anti-social behaviour.
During patrols at the weekend (Saturday, February 18 – Sunday 19), officers confiscated 19 litres of alcohol from youths. They also reported that they nabbed a man buying booze for young people and caught two 16-year-old girls drinking in public.
PC Whelan said: “We will continue to work alongside licensed premises in order to prevent young persons obtaining alcohol.
“If you or any one you know is approached outside a shop please contact the police and let the shop know that this is happening.”
