Local girl Anthea is world's best highland dancer
2 SeptemberHighland dancer Anthea Bundy from Grangemouth has proved she's the best in the world, after she lifted the world championship title at the Cowal Highland Gathering.
Anthea (15) took the title after winning the Scottish title in her age group on Friday, then going on to take the world championship event at the gathering on Saturday.
And there was also success for another local dancer, 13 year-old Rebecca Hutchins who qualified for the finals after finishing third in the Scottish event.
Already this summer Anthea, who goes to St Mungo's High, has won the Tayside, Bute, Commonwealth, All-England, World Pipe Band and City of Inverness titles, as well as the British event, before capping it all with this win.
