Elderly woman dies after Grangemouth bus fall
An 85-year-old woman has died after falling from a bus in Grangemouth.
The elderly passenger fell off the vehicle, which was travelling along Bo’ness Road, near to its junction with Abbots Road at around 1.20pm on Monday, January 30.
She suffered injuries to her arm and was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital in Larbert.
However, her condition deteriorated and she died on Friday February 3.
Her name is not being released until her next of kin have been informed and a report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal in Falkirk.
Anybody who may have been a passenger on the bus and who saw the woman falling and who hasn’t already spoken to police are urged to contact Central Scotland Police, Road Policing Unit, Stirling on 01786 456000.
